We reach out to people in our community in a number of ways throughout the year.
Inner City Pastoral Ministry We work with Inner City Pastoral Ministry to serve a Sunday lunch for 300+ inner-city folks at Bissell Center (annually)
Bissell Center We support the Bissell Center with one of our Sunday offerings. We also make sandwiches for them at least twice a year. The whole congregation gets together after church in pairs to help make up these sandwiches. We also gather clothing and essentials for the Center if they indicate a need.
Drop Your Gonch campaign for Bissell Centre - Did you know that underwear is the single most-needed and requested item at Bissell Centre? There is a box marker “Underwear for Bissell” under the coat rack where donations can be placed. There is no limited time to collect underwear. Even a few pairs make a difference.
We support the greater programs of the United Church on the national level through the Mission and Service funds given in our Sunday offerings.
If you have new ideas, please share them with us. Reaching out is important. It keeps us connected and strong and enriches us all.
